Introduction:

Electromagnetic vibrating feeder is the ideal technology which uses vibration to transfer feeding bulk materials and granuled materials from the storage bin to the receiving device evenly and continuously.
It can realize even feeding for crushers in sand stone production line and make rough screening for materials. Vibrating feeder is widely applied in combined operation of crushing and screening in the industries like metallurgy, mine, mine selection, building materials, chemicals, etc.
Due to its stability and high efficiency of feeding, the feeder is widely used in assembly automation.
The vibratory feeder is the most versatile of all hopper feeding devices for small engineering parts.

Structure:

These units basically consist of a platform or trough driven by vibratory force systems. Mechanical vibratory feeders are one of the most widely used feeders as they can withstand heavy loading, are very reliable and energy efficient.

Working Principle:

The operating principle of the Electromagnetic Feeders is based on a system of two masses that are elastically coupled. One of them, the moving mass, is the trough itself (1).

The other, the fixed mass, is a strong cast part (2) housing the exciter coil and its magnetic circuit. These masses are coupled by highly elastic springs steel leaf (3). 

The nearly sine, up-and-down vibrating action of the trough is transmitted to the material, making it move..

Controllers:

The Control units for the Electromagnetic Vibrating Feeders control and regulate the material flow, keeping constant the amplitude (vibration or stroke) at the desired value. 

They work by rectifying single-phase alternating current by means of silicon rectifier depending on the type of controller, and regulating the current going to the drive.

Trough:

The standard Electromagnetic Feeders are furnished with open trough made of carbon steel or stainless steel by electric welding. As an option, troughs made of special steels can be supplied, or ones lined with wear-resistant, refractory or plastic coatings.

Besides,the troughs can be manufactured in many shapes:

Flat bottom

Straight or diagonal discharge, or with tapered walls.

Tubular.

Closed.

Stepped.

Electromagnetic vibrating feeder can make suspended magents obtain better iron removal capacity.
For magnetic separator equipment, It is particularly important to get an even spread of material prior to downstream magnetic separator equipment,because this will present an even flow of material and will minimise the depth of the product to ensure the highest levels of separation are achieved.
