Introduction:
Dry magnetic drum separators are designed to separate magnetic materials from non-magnetic materials in a dry environment. They use magnetic properties to attract and separate ferromagnetic and paramagnetic particles. These separators are widely used in industries such as mining, recycling, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, and many others.
Working Principle:
The dry magnetic drum is enclosed in a stainless steel or or carton steel housing with a magnetic system positioned inside. As the material passes through the rotating drum, the magnetic particles are attracted to the drum's surface due to the magnetic field generated by the magnetic system. Non-magnetic materials continue along their original path and are discharged separately. The magnetic particles are carried around the drum's circumference until they reach the point of discharge, where they are released from the magnetic field and collected.
Applications:
Dry magnetic drum separators find applications in various industries, including:
Mining and Mineral Processing: Used for the extraction of magnetic minerals from ores, such as iron ore, titanium ore, and chromite.
Recycling: Separation of ferrous metals from non-ferrous metals in recycling plants.
Ceramics and Glass: Removal of iron contamination from ceramic raw materials and glass production.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical: Separation of magnetic impurities from powders and granules in chemical and pharmaceutical production processes.
Food Processing: Removal of metal contaminants from food products to ensure product quality and safety.
Plastics and Rubber: Separation of magnetic impurities from plastic and rubber materials during recycling and production processes.
Structure:
Drum:A rotating cylinder made of non-magnetic material that carries the magnetic particles.
Magnetic System: A set of magnets positioned inside the drum to generate the magnetic field.
Housing: A stainless steel or carton steel enclosure that surrounds the drum and contains the magnetic system.
Feed and Discharge System: Chutes or conveyors that supply the material to the drum and collect the separated fractions.
Feature:
Easy to install and maintaince
Options for replaceable shells and magnetic drum
available with feed hopper or vibratory feeder on magnetic drum shell
the magnetic drum and housing diameter and length can be customized
Options for Ferrite or Rare Earth NdFeB magnet type
